Synopsis

The moving story of a primary school class in St. Pauli, a district where, despite significant gentrification, many people are still affected by poverty. Thanks to the unique commitment of musician Gino Romero Ramirez, all children at the school learn to play the violin from the second grade onwards. It is a difficult instrument, but the teacher inspires his students so much that they stick with it for three years with astonishing enthusiasm. This requires a lot of teaching experience, as well as strong nerves, patience, and humor. The directors accompanied the class for three years—from the first off-key note to the big concert they performed together.
