At Noon on the Pier
В полдень на пристани
Dasha’s parents died when she was still a child, but for a long time she kept waiting for them by the fence of their home — her grandmother couldn’t bring herself to tell her the truth. Years pass, and Dasha meets the love of her life. The future seems bright and full of happiness. But once again, her life fills with waiting, uncertainty, and the fear of losing the one she loves most. Her beloved, a military pilot named Kirill, is forced to leave for a few days. He arranges to meet her at noon on the pier — but never shows up. On the way, a gang of hooligans throws him off a moving train. Still, Dasha does not lose hope and keeps coming back, again and again, to wait for her beloved at the pier at noon...
