Synopsis

A detective is hired by a rich woman to find her runaway step-sister. With the help of a fun-loving hitchhiker, he traces the girl to the remote town of Lost Lake, where she seems to be involved with a mysterious cult. But the cult closes ranks, and the townspeople don't like strangers asking questions...
