Synopsis

The cruel laws of the zone, whose inhabitants are divided into hierarchical clans, dictate their own conditions of behavior. The head of the institution, Major Kalinin, sees prisoners not so much as criminals, but as people who have stumbled in life, and tries to give everyone a chance to improve.
