The project that began as a documentary about the Korea-Japan World Cup was slowly transforming into something very different. "The Coldest Day of the Year" is the result of the unpredictable and synchronicity. A documentary that explores situations and characters who lived together during that critical moment in the country: when the dismay of the Argentine national team's defeat in the World Cup turned into horror following the Avellaneda Massacre in which Maximiliano Kosteki and Darío Santillán died.
