Synopsis

Inspired by the Tibetan Book of the Dead, this film is one part of the performance Le Voyage, created at the Cologne Opera in 1962 by Maurice Béjart. The music and the film take place just after death, at the moment when the Clear Light appears, as described in the Tibetan Book of the Dead. According to the book, if recognized, this Clear Light liberates the being from the cycle of reincarnations.
