Gentes do Mar

Synopsis

Surrounded by unstable waters, but always with faith, they fight for each man's survival, hopeful that tomorrow will bring them more of their livelihood. They are absent husbands and fathers, fearful, and find it difficult to express what is in their souls. Their attentive, silent gazes define the sea as a mysterious force. They furrow their wrinkles, observe the bow succumbing amidst the majestic waves, and raise their rough, calloused hands to the heavens, asking Our Lady for protection.
