Kumba is a young Ivorian mother living alone in Paris with her two children, Adja (7) and Bakary (8 months). One day, she is asked to replace a cleaner friend at short notice. Kumba has to choose between working and caring for her small son. She goes to work, worried sick. Her little boy is left alone at home.
