Computer expert Silvia Berger suffers from severe amnesia: she neither knows her true identity nor can she remember the past. She is tormented by terrible nightmares. Against the wishes of her psychoanalyst, she researches her past. Using a computer, she finds her home town: a small island in the Baltic Sea.
