Mehmet Efendi dies at a young age, leaving behind a young son and a young, beautiful wife. His widow, Melahat Hanım, dedicates everything to her son Ömer from then on. While managing the household chores, she also sews for the villagers to support the family. Her son Ömer, meanwhile, bears the pain of losing his father at a young age, and this pain makes him more mature than his peers.
