Les Malheurs de Germaine Dulac shows the ravages of time on the copy of the film La Cigarette , the film that Germaine Dulac shot in 1919. By selecting and slowing down the most damaged parts of the French filmmaker's film, I managed to create an object with abstract forms and, paradoxically, to give a second life to a major artistic work.
