Lucha Reyes, Carta al Cielo

Lucha Reyes is the most important singer of Peruvian Creole music. Born into a very poor family, she triumphed despite great limitations. She overcame four of the major obstacles imposed by society at that time; she achieved success despite being a woman, poor, Black, and ill. Her life represents a social and political turning point.
