Synopsis

The turbulent year of 1918 was the first year of civil war in the Caucasus. Upon learning that her husband had been arrested and sent to prison, teacher Maryamik decided to rescue Arsen. Together with her aunt Anahit, she sets out to search for her husband. This difficult journey becomes a path to enlightenment for Maryam. Finally finding her husband and learning that his arrest was not politically motivated, she is given the opportunity to rescue one person from prison, but instead of Arsen, she saves Savely, who has been sentenced to death.
