Minuet

In a society where the ability to procreate is equated with civic duty, junior auditor Andrei has been trying to conceive a child with his wife for a year. But when a doctor first suggests that the problem might lie with him, Andrei, unwilling to accept his own imperfection, takes a radical step — he sells his wife to a brothel.
