Antoni Dzierzba and his friend Bohdan edit the publication "Start i Meta" (Start and Finish). After publishing a critical review of a certain book, its author, Zofia, arrives with her sister Irena, demanding that the men correct the unfair opinion about the book in their magazine. Many personal mistakes are made, as a result of which no one is taken for who they really are.
