Thumbelina

Thumbelina, barely bigger than a thumb, sets off on a journey with the wind to discover the world. She encounters two toads who want to keep her as their bride or daughter-in-law, a fish who helps her escape from this family idyll, a vain and superficial May beetle who also wants to marry her, and a field mouse who tries to set the girl up with a mole. Time and again, Thumbelina manages to escape. She learns that you have to fight for your happiness, that it is not outward appearances but inner values that make a person who they are.
